𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀: Songs, compositions, and melodies (this excludes the sound recording itself).

𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀: Paintings, drawings, sculptures, photographs, architectural drawings, and maps.

𝗖𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗺𝘀: Movies, documentaries, advertisements, animations, and web series.

No, registration is not mandatory in India.
